The MortarCAPS Higher Learning Data Standard is driven by a dedicated leadership team and board of sector experts, working collaboratively to ensure the standard meets the real-world needs of higher education and vocational institutions. With representation from global education leaders, technology partners, and institutions, our team brings a wealth of experience and a shared vision for transforming education data.

The Australian working group behind the MortarCAPS Higher Learning Data Standard is made up of leaders and experts from a diverse range of institutions, including universities, vocational institutes, and technology organisations.

This collaborative group ensures that the standard reflects the real-world challenges and opportunities across the sector..

CAUDIT Working Group Members Include:

• Leaders from 20+ Australian institutions
• Representatives from CAUDIT and Navitas

CUCCIO Working Group Members Include:

• Chair: Brian Stewart, CIO at Simon Fraser University
• Leaders from 9+ Canadian Institutions
• Representatives from CUCCIO

As MortarCAPS expands globally, working groups will be established in each region, guided by their respective CAUDIT-equivalent bodies.

These regional groups will tailor the framework to meet local needs while fostering global collaboration and innovation across higher education.

The MortarCAPS Higher Learning Data Standard was founded by Ingenuity Partners, a leading technology consultancy with deep expertise in higher education. After years of working with institutions to solve complex technology challenges, Ingenuity identified a critical need for better data interoperability across the sector. In partnership with CAUDIT, MortarCAPS was created as a not-for-profit initiative to drive a unified data standard that empowers institutions and learners alike.
